I've just launched Olav’s Corner, a new video series in collaboration with The Folk Music Academy!

In this series, I'll be sharing a bit more of my musical world – meeting musicians, exploring instruments and traditions, teaching tunes, talking about recording and gear, and sharing experiences from life as a musician.

The first episode is out now!

I'm taking a closer look at the octave fiddle (octave violin), an instrument I use a lot with The Nordic Fiddlers Bloc. I'll explain what it is, demonstrate its unique sound and play a few examples, including my own composition In the Lounge.

Most episodes will be free to watch on The Folk Music Academy's YouTube channel, with occasional bonus content for FMA members.

Stay tuned for more episodes!
